I saw this film at the Cannes Film Festival this year – and what started out as a movie just to fill my free time turned out to be the best film I saw at Cannes this year!
(And I did see Lanthimos’ ‘Kinds of Kindness’ and Paul Schrader’s ‘Oh Canada!’.) This film had everything a good film should have – excellent acting, a good plot, crazy comedy, beautiful action sequences, all with excellent pacing and comedic timing.
The film was subtitled of course, but the entire theater burst into laughter throughout and applauded wholeheartedly as the film ended
The film follows a team of special case investigators within the Korean police department who investigate a serial killer with a unique modus operandi.
Normally you would expect the film to be dark and disturbing, but you’ll be surprised at how light and comical all those scenes were
